Rum Appreciation Masterclass
Sailing through the second edition of the Taste the World Series with a Rum Appreciation Masterclass, our members got to ‘Limin’ (hang out – a term used in the Caribbean) with us in this three-day masterclass featuring specially curated rums. These were paired with Caribbean Tapas by Lime House, an authentic Caribbean Restaurant & Bar.
We welcomed our members with unique shots of El Dorado 3YO before enjoying a set of rum flights in this live tasting session hosted by our 25Hours Insider, Matthew Fergusson, a spirits expert where members got to network with each other and share their preferences on the Rums of their liking on top of Tapas to share for each table.
The first dish was the Caribbean Nachos, crispy plantain chips with avocado and tomato salsa paired with the Equiano Original rum. This was followed by the second dish Doubles, curried chickpea and tamarind with mango chutney which was paired with the Chairman Reserve (The Forgotten Cask). The last featured dish of the night was the juicy and tender Jerk Chicken Skewers, marinated boneless chicken thigh served with the El Dorado 15YO Rum.
Our members got to test their knowledge of Rums in the tasting quizzes to ensure that members who attended the event will leave home with a newfound knowledge and winners got a FREE pass to the famed serviced apartment and co-working space, Citadines. We ended the night on a sweet note with a homemade vanilla ice cream paired with the Legendario Rum. All featured Rums for this occasion were available exclusively for purchase on our members-only eStore.
